What is this show?

Juke Box Jury! A panel of four judges (in this case, The Beatles) listen to a song and rate it either ‘hit’ or ‘miss’. John never used his ‘hit’ card.

Fun fact: Brian Epstein was a judge twice on this show. Jane Asher was a judge three times. George and Ringo appeared separately in 1964 and John had already been on the show a few months prior to all four Beatles appearing together.

Here is the radio broadcast of the time that they were all in it! I can’t seem to find the footage for it though! (I don’t think there is one since it’s radio??? I’m not sure.) It’s a little bit hard to hear, the broadcast, since it’s about 50 years old, but I did hear this: when the host, David Jacobs, announced Paul, he received the loudest applause ;)

The Beatles to me were like the perfect science experiment, the perfect organic combination, sthe stars aligning magically. The serendipity of it is just unbelievable. When I was a kid, I remember digging all of them a lot… The harmonies, all of it was just so resonant. They were this perfect balance, this perfect harmony, I mean as perfect as a band can get”.
